I was tempted to buy an expensive Google Pixel Chromebook but wanted to see if I could really replace my Microsoft Surface tablet/laptop. The 8GB ASUS Chromebox 3 is a great step into the world of SUPER Chrome and Android apps. The chrome on this box is great; fast and responsive. . . more than on my Surface or my faster Windows desktop. But Chrome/Android apps are fuzzy at best (best example, Spotify installs but doesn't work so you'll have to switch to the web version), and when they do, they may or may not be fullscreen. It's not ASUS' fault: it's a great implementation. After a few days of gaming, I'm not sure I'd give up my Surface for my main work (I love the full versions of Word & Excel and even Lightroom), but I could free up some space on my desk so ASUS can use Chrome anytime soon .
