Review on Game console Sony PlayStation 5 825 GB SSD, white/black by Stanislaw Wysocki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

± Following the release of the PS4, it can be difficult to adjust to the fact that the logic of the PS buttons and the screenshot has been altered. In the past, a single press on the PS would take the player back to the main screen, while a prolonged hold would bring up the menu on top of the game. Now, turning everything around, pressing will open the menu, and holding will bring you back to the screen. In the same vein, you are unable to re-enter the game by pressing another button on the main screen; rather, you are required to search for the game's shortcut among the other options and then click on it. There is no sign that the game is running on the main screen shortcut that takes you to the running game (as there was on the PS4). The confirmation prompt will not appear even if you start up another game inadvertently at this time. This is in contrast to how things worked on the PS4, where the system asked you to confirm that you wanted to shut one application before starting up another. That is to say, I failed to use the shortcut, and as a result, one game ended quickly without saving, while another one began. The same thing goes for taking a screenshot; at this point, it is physically impossible to take a screenshot in a short amount of time by simply pressing the Share button. This is because pressing the button brings up a menu in which you already need to select the screenshot icon and confirm it before you can capture the screenshot. RAVE! In the past, it was possible to configure the following: a single click on Share would take a screenshot, and a double click would begin recording a video; however, these options are no longer available; why is this? In a nutshell: a great gaming system for the money (by which I mean the manufacturer's suggested retail price).

Pros
  • I am currently composing a review from the perspective of a real user who made the transition from PS4, and I will be mentioning topics that no other reviewer on the internet has mentioned. The console has a stunning design, but in person, it does not appear quite as imposingly large as it does in the accompanying photograph. Slightly larger than the PS4, it does not appear bulky next to a 43-inch TV and it sits quietly on a cabinet that is 30 centimeters deep; + Games, both new and for PS4, work well; + It has been quieter, but in tough scenes it still produces noise, albeit not as loud as its predecessor; + Games, both new and for PS4, work great; + It has become quieter, but in difficult scenes it still makes noise; + Games, both new and for PS4, At long last, 1080p60 frames per second streaming is available on Twitch and YouTube. The interface for streaming content is also significantly easier to use than it was on the PS4; also, the amount of time spent playing games is now reflected in the user's profile. I don't even want to know how many years I've been waiting for this! And in all, including games played on PS4, the release of which I delayed by two to three years. I was rather taken aback by the amount of time I spent playing a few of them. Despite the fact that the time displayed in some games is inaccurate, for instance, the time remaining on my copy of Horizon: Zero Dawn is displayed as 4 hours, despite the fact that I have completed the game and earned a platinum trophy.
Cons
  • - The area of the body that is shiny is horribly smudged and covered with dust; - The complete HDMI cord and the wire for charging the gamepad are unforgivably short; - There are three different colors available for the body. I'll elaborate further on DualSense in a future review, but stay tuned for that! The gamepad is a cumbersome and weighty piece of equipment. It is significantly larger and heavier than the controller for the Xbox One. I'm not sure if it's the actual weight of the controller or the way that the weight is dispersed around the body of the device, but it definitely seems heavier. Comparable in weight to the Nintendo Switch once it has been constructed; - The backlight of the gamepad is located on the front panel, and it is simply impossible bright (even if you set the brightness to a minimum in the settings) - it personally hits me in the eyes, and I used to like to lie on the bed on my stomach and hold the gamepad in front of me with my arms extended, but now it's simply impossible to do either of those things; - Cons with the software. In the years to come, I pray that these will be rectified. There is no search available in the library. I have a couple of hundred games in my library, and the only way to find something is to sort alphabetically and wind through everything. The search icon on the main screen searches the entirety of the store, but there is no search function in the library menu. The prize UI has deteriorated to the point of being revolting. You just must witness this for yourself. It is completely unusable in any way. Now, everyone who is interested in obtaining platinum must do so solely through third-party sources. The reasoning behind why games on the PS4 are available in multiple iterations is not entirely clear. For instance, when I placed my old NieR: Automata disc into the console, it presented me with the option to download either of two separate versions of the patch; the gap between the two being one gigabyte. I downloaded the one that was smaller in size, and the game is running without any problems. This is complete and utter crap; for some PS4 games that were purchased digitally, there were two versions, and the developers do not explain how the versions differ. Concurrently, there is a fault in which, if one version of the game was downloading when the console was switched off, then another version of the game would begin downloading when the console was turned back on, causing the main screen to display two games that are similar to each other. This bug only occurs if the console was in the middle of downloading one version of the game when it was turned off.
