I got creative and installed a plant shelf and plant lights in the basement to overwinter some of the tender plants we planted on the patio during spring/summer/fall. I used multiple trays to load the plants but needed a way to drain excess water when we water the plants. Hoses and connectors fit perfectly. I simply installed the bulkhead fittings into the holes in the trunk (I added O-rings to get a good seal), then connected them with a pipe and ran a drain to our nearby drain pump. Don't worry about too much water anymore. The excess simply disappears. The fittings and hoses were very easy to connect and were perfect for my application. See photo
