I've tried various ways to get this to work with no success. I have tried the transmitter at various distances from the magnet and also the receiver was at various distances from the transmitter including inches apart. I got it working twice but next time nothing. once. I got so frustrated that I decided to use it for target shooting. The instructions are poor at best. I can usually get almost anything to work, be it electrical or mechanical. I can rebuild a car engine or transmission, paint a car or house, create a Christmas light show with a raspberry pi and a relay, but I can't get the damn thing to work. I will not cover shipping costs for the return as it will likely be half what I originally paid for the device. I will search for the best article, beware of this article. I wouldn't give this one stars but I can't so it gets 1
