Review on SmartCAD by Viswanath Lopez

I really like the software because it is easy to use and very user friendly. We are able to quickly solve dispatcher issues and it cuts down on the time it takes for dispatch to get a police officer out to a call. The only problem I have is that if an officer leaves the phone on speaker and someone picks it up, you cannot figure out which call it was that the officer was on, or who they were talking to. I also wish there was a way to keep an eye on open calls (in which we are not able to respond) once we are in the SmartCAD system, to see which ones are still open and who has them. We are able to quickly solve dispatcher issues and cuts down on the time it takes for dispatch to get a police officer out to a call. SmartCAD also is beneficial because it is user friendly. This program has been great for my department. It allows us to communicate with dispatch in real time allowing us to know what others are doing. We can also see their location on our map which helps us locate them if they need help. The only thing I dislike about this program is that it sometimes freezes or takes too long to load. This happens frequently but you will get used to it. I highly recommend this program. Communication between departments and locating people and vehicles quickly.
