I returned it after 3 weeks because the top started to rust. Stainless steel does not rust. I thought I'd try again. I received my return around January 13th. Connected and working fine. I liked how the temperature was displayed. I wake up today and see all sorts of junk on my tank. I can understand where it's coming from. I look behind the tank and see that there must have been a fire while we were sleeping. The plastic on the cable melted, rusted and my cable broke in two. After buying again, I looked at other sellers. There are many suppliers selling the same cheap heater made in China. I was clueless and figured a $30 500 watt heater would be a smart idea.
