Review on 🍫 Rit DyeMore Chocolate Brown, 7 Fl Oz (Single Pack) by Doris Tran

I ordered a fluffy waistcoat that was supposed to be from China in brown khaki. So I really shouldn't have been surprised when it arrived three weeks later and was bright pink. The color I ordered is not available. Sending it back would be a hassle and a waste of money, and impossible to find another. It was exactly what I needed for the suit but IN THE WRONG COLOR. Out of desperation I decided to paint. Having no idea what it was made of (again from China) I realized there was nothing natural and went with this dye. The only problem? The vest didn't fit in any of our pots to "cook" it on the stove for half an hour. So, believing I have nothing left to lose (the vest goes in the trash if the color makes it look terrible, or for a good cause if the color fails), I put it in our washing machine. I ONLY did this because our washing machine is VERY HOT and has a WASH setting that allows me to calculate how long I want to soak the item. I put on the vest and waited for the SOAK cycle to hit. Then I stopped, poured paint, stirred with a large wooden spoon, and started again. There is nothing left but to hope for the best. The picture speaks for itself. It's no longer light pink. It's light brown! I would have preferred it a bit darker (maybe working on the stovetop would have given these results, or using two bottles of dye in the washing machine) but it's a lot closer to what I need.
