Description of 🍫 Rit DyeMore Chocolate Brown, 7 Fl Oz (Single Pack)

Dye synthetic fabric and fabric blends, which include anything with 35% or more polyester, acrylic, acetate or nylon. Perfect for rejuvenating faded clothing, upcycling, hiding laundry accidents and so much more. With 250+ color recipes available on Rit’s website, it is almost certain you’ll find the right color for your needs. Get creative and create something unique with an easy dye technique, like an ombré, dip dyed, shibori or tie-dye pattern. Due to the complexity of dyeing synthetic fabrics, you must use this dye in a stainless steel pot on your stove top to maintain a high water temperature throughout the duration of dyeing. Cannot be used in a washing machine. If dyeing fabric with less than 35% synthetic fabric (i. e. polyester, acrylic or acetate), use Rit All-Purpose Dye instead

Don't be afraid to order the exact color you need. It is exactly as advertised.

Purchased chocolate brown Rit dye to dye a wig purchased in China. (I didn't know it was from China, but that's another story). I look best in muted blondes but the wig they sent me was white blonde. It was terrible. Following Rit's instructions, except that I put it on the stove (I used a bucket and added water), I only left the wig submerged for 10 minutes. And wow! The color came out nicely, light brown in the white-brown areas and darker in the already brown part of the roots/crown. If I…

Works with cotton blends and 100% Kevlar

I dyed my white 98% cotton, 2% spandex jacket a beautiful chocolate brown. I followed the directions carefully and was provided with a 8 liter pot, candy thermometer and good quality metal tongs. Don't underestimate this last point, as it involves lifting and turning your clothes in 75-90 F water for 40 minutes. You CAN use in your washing machine if.

I ordered a fluffy waistcoat that was supposed to be from China in brown khaki. So I really shouldn't have been surprised when it arrived three weeks later and was bright pink.
