A simple replacement for the original Sharp remote control. However, mine failed on the 31st day.

This is a surprisingly easy replacement for a regular Sharp remote. No programming required. Insert the included AAA batteries and you're good to go. Easy. Edited: After 31 days of use, this remote has failed. Interestingly, this failed on the day the return period ended. How convenient. I changed the batteries but it doesn't work.
