Review on Stainless Machinist Conversion 401 C8 by Tyler Owens

Not made in Japan. Made in India and this item has some issues that I didn't expect from Shinwa tools. You can see them in the photos. There are several places where this ruler was not properly engraved and the measuring mark was not properly engraved and it was not painted. I also noticed that this ruler has creases that won't allow it to sit flat and there are small marks on the back that weren't sanded to the same surface as the front of the ruler. It's not up to the Japanese standard I've seen on Japanese-made instruments. With this quality and price your best bet is to buy these 3 packs of machinist rules as it's not the Shinwa quality I expected. I am returning this item and giving Japanese ruler Shinwa a chance before going elsewhere.
