Review on 🚲 Hobson Easyseat II Saddle Bike: Optimal Comfort for Cycling Enthusiasts, Bicycle Gear Must-Have by Bill Kodba

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Loss of stability, weight and pressure on hands/wrists are the main issues

I had two main issues with this seat which stem from its basic design; firstly, the extreme loss of stability when riding and secondly, a significant increase in weight, which is transferred to my hands and wrists. I would strongly caution people who ride mountain bikes or road bikes about this seat. The seat puts most of the weight on your hands, making it surprisingly fun to ride. After my 5 mile commute to work, my hands and wrists were visibly sore and tired. The seat might fit a cruiser bike where you sit upright, I'm not sure. Another big problem is that you lose all stability. I never realized how much riding stability comes from a traditional saddle and the resulting ability to steer a bike with your feet. All that control is lost with the Hobson seat. Not only that, the movement of the pedals also causes the seat cushions to move up and down slightly, and without a central support point you have to keep both hands on the wheel at all times to avoid misalignment and even a fall. Driving without hands is out of the question. To be fair, the seat relieved the pain caused by my traditional saddle seat. However, with the two problems described, this is not a solution for me. Still looking for the perfect bike seat!
