I immediately connected 5V to the minicontroller and verified that the strip worked. Then I cut the strip into 8 separate strips with 37 LEDs. (4 LEDs left). Then I laid them side by side and soldered wires to them to connect them into an 8x37 zigzag matrix. Soldering Iron Tip: Hold the soldering iron by the sharp ridges and drop a drop of solder onto the copper. Then hold the wire and melt the solder to connect them. For longer runs, secure the cables so they don't come loose. Powered by 5V 2A controlled by a pin from Arduino Uno. At 20% brightness they were quite bright.
