November 8th update: ------------------------------ - - -------------- ----If you're expecting a product that's easy for Apple, it's not. The included manual is practically useless (the best one is on the Bose website). The remote control is unintuitive at best (buttons light up in seemingly random combinations). The app barely works (claims that my remote has learned to work with my Playstation and TV, but nothing works). Last night after 2 hours I was able to figure out how to reset it (but still don't know how), connect it to Wi-Fi, get the app to detect it, and get audio streaming and Alexa working. The "learning" remote control is still not working properly. And the optical audio connection to my TV doesn't work. Now it's a battle of wills between this beta product and me. ---------- This is a very unforgiving product. It all started well with the app recognizing the soundbar and allowing me to set up my Wi-Fi network. Unfortunately I made a mistake connecting to my network and now the soundbar is no longer recognized by the Bose Music app. I've tried resetting the app, reinstalling it, unplugging it - everything except pulling my hair out - but no bones. And of course, Bose support is not available during the day (9am to 9pm ET). The included remote control is another disappointment. To restart the device, you need to press and hold the Power and FF buttons for 5 seconds. Of course, the remote control is designed in such a way that the buttons are only visible when the LED backlight is on. And the FF button is off. So I had to shine a flashlight on them to even see which button they were referring to. This is unacceptable for a high-end product. Interestingly, I can connect to it and stream via Bluetooth. Time. I would stay away until these issues are resolved.
