I ordered two Tripp Lite 12-outlet surge protected power strips (model SS3612) and installed them on the underside of the computer desks my wife and I have in our home office. VERY impressed with the quality of these extensions. They appear to be much stronger than the "cheap" extension cords you find at any major store. Here are some of the things I like: • Her looks exude quality. You would feel at home in a lab full of expensive instruments. Because they look so good, I don't think it's important to hide them • They're slim and unobtrusive. I don't think they could be made any smaller given the size of the NEMA 5-15 plug. • Sockets are firmly connected to the strip and securely grip both the plug and the plug-in power supply, even upside down. • 12 outlets give you plenty of options to connect all your devices • The power cord is 15 feet long. This gives you just enough length to discreetly thread it around your desk to a power outlet. • There is a green LED on the front panel next to the power button to confirm that the surge protector is still working. ordered, but I have to say that my high expectations were completely exceeded! It's really excellent. I also have to say that Tripp Lite offers top-notch customer service. One of the extensions I ordered was missing the two spring clips required for assembly. I contacted Tripp Lite about the issue through their website. A box of new clips waited on my porch for 3 days! This kind of customer service is rare and extremely valuable. I've added Tripp Lite to my personal "preferred providers" list!
