Compact, Safe, Convenient

I was trying to find the perfect holder for AA and AAA batteries for flashes and triggers in my camera bag. I recently tried different types of battery holders. First I tried dial battery boxes. I love these for home storage because you can pack lots of batteries in a box and stack them neatly in the drawer. Unfortunately, what makes them great in a drawer makes them awkward in a bag. They were too thick to fit in the small side pocket and the corners created stress points in the fabric that could cause additional wear over time. Then I tried some of these cheap and fun 4 battery cases from China. They came at a very attractive price, but were surprisingly bulky for so many batteries, and some of them had latches that were annoyingly difficult to open - unless you dropped one of them, in which case the batteries were flying all over the place . So I decided to try Storacell. I was pleasantly surprised by their compactness. I can easily fit 6 AAA batteries and 8 AA batteries in one of the small side pockets of my bag. Batteries are securely fixed in the holder, but can be easily removed. And because the two sides are completely different, I can tell at a glance which batteries are charged and which need to be recharged by holding the positive pole up when it's charged and down when it needs to be recharged. No more lugging around extra bins to separate good and bad batteries into separate bags. This is by far the best system I've used and well worth the extra cost.
