Terrible matrix - won't cut through paper

I spent an hour trying to find the right block for my bigshot plus. I've tried thicker cardboard, my platform with a and b boards, plastic cutting boards, extra spacers. I couldn't get a single good cut. At one point I was afraid to continue scrolling in the matrix for fear of breaking my car. Disappointing because it's a nice background cube. What is the problem with the refund. I would not recommend this at all.
