People with more mechanical ability than I have would probably disassemble the original speedo and make it work. Sadly, I lack that level of skill. I bought this, and now I know how slow I’m rolling in the old air cooled bus! Right now I have it plugged into a cigarette style 12V outlet that is switched power. It’s bright, more accurate than nothing. The instructions aren’t extensive, and I need to figure out how to set the time AND if there is anyway to keep it powered for continuous. It doesn’t appear to have a memory feature. Time will tell
