Just received it today, but so far so good! The carbon monoxide sensor is definitely working since I did a little test. I suspected that my apartment might have low CO levels due to the heating system in my house. I hope I'm wrong, but I still decided to get a carbon monoxide alarm with a digital display so I can monitor it. I wasn't sure about lithium batteries but replaceable battery packs are sold out so I went with these. Box opened (production date 2/2108, not bad but not great as it's already December 2018), activated and everything worked fine, the gauge is at zero. I wanted to be ABSOLUTELY SURE the CO sensors were working properly, so I did a spark plug test. I placed the device in a stainless steel cooking pot with a lit tea light. Place the pot on the lid to create an airtight environment. And waited about 3-4 minutes. When I opened it up again, the meter read 90. It quickly returned to 0 over the next 2-3 minutes. After it went back to 0 I pressed the peak level button and it read 90. So now I can be sure that this device does what it is supposed to do. Can't comment on the battery life yet as I just got it. That's great, because the digital display is permanent and can be viewed at any time. I highly recommend getting one of these for each bedroom in your house and placing them next to your bed.
