What a disappointment. If you are looking for a speaker that can be heard outdoors in the presence of 30+ people, please look beyond this device. Some reviews call it "loud". Well, everything is loud and everything is quiet, depending on the environment and the listener. So if you want to make an informed decision, look for decibel values. Unfortunately I couldn't find a dB rating for this speaker before buying it, but I figured a 30w portable speaker would definitely go over 95db. (The iPhone 6's speaker is rated at 106dB([.]) BUT NO CASE! After opening this unit, I tested it with a range of sources and connections, the best I could get was 71dB !Stay Away!Sound clarity and the bass is definitely better than iPhone but not as loud..Music and enjoy our playlist.In some cases I had to check with a friend next to me if this thing even plays!They will get more volume from small $30 oontz or miniboom devices than this thing Other annoyances: Buttons Every time I or anyone in our group picked up this thing, a button was pressed to stop the song or fast forward Instant Party and Mood Killer The top of the device changes song Bluetooth: I kept the phone in the front pocket of my shirt with t It's strapped to a backpack on my back The Bluetooth connection dropped about off every 30 seconds! Another party and atmosphere killer. I spent more time at the party turning on the music, reconnecting the Bluetooth, turning up the volume than I did at the party. I only gave it 2 stars because it has a large battery and will probably last a long time when you leave it. That's one thing, don't touch it, plug it into your phone and skip Bluetooth. I'm in a generous mood as I write this, otherwise I would have gotten a star. AVOID.
