Review on 🔧 Helicoil 5521-7 Thread Repair Kit: Restoring Coarse 7/16-14 Inch Threads with Precision by Shigg Bigbee

The included inserts are 1/2 inch long. I bought this kit and went to an online hardware store and bought a 7/8 inch insert. It's very important that the hole and threads are straight, so I used a head with several screws as a guide for the drill that goes into the head. Then I drilled through a 1" piece of plastic with the same drill bit and used the included tap to remove the threads on the power drill. First, attach the plastic to the drill press table. Start the faucet and slowly lower it. in plastic without cutting it. The resulting hole is good for aligning the tap square to the block. Push the plastic block over the hole and tap it. Everything works fine, the head is put back on and tightened to specs.
