I just hope it's not too late to spare you the pain and suffering I'm going through. I switched to this toothpaste thinking it would be better with cleanliness and whitening. I read some of the reviews, not many, and thought the negatives were probably isolated cases. I've been using this toothpaste for 2.5 months and was on my 3rd or 4th tube when all of a sudden my tongue and mouth started to burn. I realized I had developed thrush along with swollen tongue and lips. My lips are also so dry, cracked and sore that nothing helps. They also darken. Lately I've started to lose my sense of taste and it's been taking the cake. I honestly thought I had Covid. But after testing negative for Covid-19, which was downright nasty, it dawned on me it could be toothpaste. I googled arm & hammer toothpaste and thrush and oh my god all the troubles! I also stocked up on this material (8 tubes). Every.last.pipe in the trash. I wouldn't even bother. Now my mouth and tongue hurt all the time. Just a painful burn of everything. Time. My lips are so dry, cracked and sore. Eating literally brings me to tears because the burning is so painful, but I have to eat to nourish myself. Spices, salt, mustard, spicy and even fizzy drinks like Sprites are enough to make me skip meals. I hardly taste anything. I am so unhappy. I just pray that switching to a different toothpaste will give me relief sooner rather than later. Please please PLEASE don't even risk toothpaste thinking it probably won't happen to you. It's not worth it, believe me. Because if this REALLY happens to you, you will absolutely regret your decision. Update: Later that evening when I brushed my teeth with my regular toothpaste, there was no severe stinging telling me it was that toothpaste. The next day the burning and irritation from eating was noticeably reduced. Now 16.11. I haven't used this toothpaste since November 11th and everything is back to normal. My sense of taste is back! My lips have also regained their original color. Intense burning, pain and dryness are GONE! I can't tell you how relieved I feel! Terrible experience!
