Blue should have a slightly deformed opening for the straw insert. I even bought extra silicone straws in case they break. The blue hose started leaking shortly after first use. I gave it a few uses in case I didn't fix it properly. My nanny had the same problem. Blue leaked, green did not. I replaced the silicone straw with one of the extra ones. It leaked. By leaking, I mean that the straw doesn't sit in the spout of the lid like the green one. The silicone straw will slowly begin to slide out of the bottom of the open insert. If I didn't have TWO of these tubes, or if they both did the same thing, I would think it was user error. But the green hose still works great and never leaks. i have little twins For now, they share what isn't leaking. However, it doesn't always end well.
