We've been using the K&H Deluxe Car Set Saver on our three dogs since January and it looks brand new and trainable. I have two Portuguese Water Dogs and a Yorkshire Terrier. Porties have long, wavy fur and pick up a lot of litter on their walks. We take them every day by car on different hiking routes. Every puddle is a bonus and after the rain they lie down in it. Yorkies love to wallow in the grass. You keep track of everything in the back seat, where the seat saver kept the padding. It's thick enough not to get soaked. It's easy to install and remove to clean or run through the washer/dryer. The reasons we bought it were: (1) a skirt so dogs couldn't "pick up" the material and get mud or grass on the seat padding, and (2) a flap they could use with a in the back seat holds bag for leashes, poop. bags or balls. This flap comes off when you don't need it. I've bought at least six blankets or car seat covers and this was the most expensive but double what I paid for.
