Review on 🚰 AP817 2 Filter Replacement Cartridge by Aqua Pure by Kendriece Figueroa

I installed this filter in a dual filtration system, the first is a 1 micron sediment filter before my pressure regulator, the second is this filter after the pressure regulator. I checked for chlorine before and after. Before there was chlorine, after installing this filter there is no more chlorine. The water is so pure that I can put it straight into my freshwater aquarium without the addition of stabilizing chemicals. Since I installed the filter housing myself, I installed the pressure gauges in three places - before the regulator, after the regulator before this filter and after this filter. I see no pressure drop across the filter when using a shower. I guess if I turned on all four showers in the house at the same time I would see some pressure drop, but that's not a normal scenario, the most I've ever seen with my family is two showers or baths at the same time. This isn't the cheapest filter, but it has an NSF 42 rating, which increases the cost of manufacturing these devices. My spring water is pretty good to start with, pH 7.0, kH and gH 3, so I'm getting a full 6 months out of my filters. I am very confident that this will extend the life of my entire household plumbing and after using this filter for 4 months I replaced all the valves (multi-turn valves with rubber washers) with 1/4 turn ball valves. to further reduce fouling in the system. We have removed filters from our fridges as they are now redundant and only slow down the flow. We still couldn't tell any difference between tap water and tap water and fridge-filtered water after installing this entire home unit. I'm glad I don't have the $100 I spend every 6 months just on fridge filters! Best of all, this configuration left the bottom of the toilet bowls untouched (all toilets were converted to dual flush after the new filter was installed), so I'm confident the sediment filtration is also working properly.
