So messed around. I was excited to try Brooks a while back because I've heard such great things about their stable shoes. I have shin splints and have worn ASICS and Nike running shoes in the past. When I first started running in them I was a bit nervous at first about the arch support (less supportive than I thought it would be) but after a few runs they started to feel better. They're actually quite resilient, which was a plus. The real problem and reason I can't use them anymore is the back of the shoe digs into my heels and causes HORRIBLE blisters. I've worn thick/high socks, bandages, etc., but no matter what, the heel of the shoe flexes and rubs against the blisters, causing a lot of pain. I wish I could return them but there is blood on the inside of the shoes. It's hard to see how $150 is wasted on them.
