Update: Support contacted me based on my 1 star rating with questions about what went wrong. After some productive back and forth, they offered a replacement or a full refund. I asked for a refund and they promptly refunded the full purchase price. The glue just doesn't stick. Tried it three times and warm days when the sun hits the windshield do it. Yes I wiped the surface with alcohol but to no avail. Finally I implemented my own idea by attaching a metal plate to the dashboard and then using epoxy to attach the metal phone holder to the metal plate.
