There can be times when a particular USB port on a PC is completely hard to reach. These little 90 degree adapters can be a real help if needed. I use them on several different PCs. The back port of the small Acute Angle Mini PC needed it the most. This small PC has only one rear USB 3.0 port. You have to be a bit of a contortionist to plug anything into the rear port. This adapter is not easier to plug into the rear port, but you only have to do it once. Once this adapter is installed, all USB peripherals can be easily connected. For this particular PC, I plug in a 4-port USB 3.0 hub and leave it plugged in. PC USB connection. It's uncommon, but there's always a risk of damaging a USB port when trying to plug something into it. I've done this and I doubt I'm alone in this. If you mess up a socket on an adapter, it's very cheap to replace. If you mess up a USB port on your PC, it can be difficult and expensive to replace. This is a very small amount to spend on a lot of protection.
