I work on an old elevator and bought it to measure the depth of the bunker. You attach a weight to the end and throw it in the bin to find out your depth. If you know the depth and perimeter of the bunker, you can calculate how many bushels it contains. The end of this tape was cheap plastic and broke immediately and the tape itself started to wear out after a day and I sent it back for a refund. I need a tool that fits the needs of my industry and this tape just doesn't fit.
