Review on 🐠 FZONE Aquarium CO2 Regulator with Dual Gauge Display, Bubble Counter, Check Valve and DC Solenoid for Plant Grow DIY CO2 System CGA320 Side Open Cylinder by Jennifer Stevenson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad so far! in Fish & Aquatic Pets

Edit/Update 18 Jul 21: Will be strong and stable. While no CO2 system associated with a living creature tank can be described as "set it and forget it," this one at least gives me that ability. I increased my rating by one star. It has minor issues and I had a cosmetic chip in the bubble counting chamber but functionally it gives me everything I need and want. It's just a matter of durability and the relative quality of the material makes me feel good that I should spend many years with it. the usual combat scenarios to fix a situation gone wrong. Pros: This device has weight and is a good starting point for quality, the slightly higher price of comparable devices seems to be an investment in the materials used. Parts got lost or wobbled in transit but were packaged well and tightened easily. I appreciated the extra O-rings packed. The flow adjustment needle valve is actually very good, a bit stiff but great for small adjustments. Installation was easy enough, but I'd advise newbies to watch YouTube videos or something like that because. Cons: Installation instructions were printed in multiple languages on one sheet of paper, which is fine. The translation was good enough, but I KNEW what they wanted every next step and I could see that I was being misled by misunderstandings when they didn't. Also, it was printed very small, with large blank white spaces available for increasing the font size. (I know I've reached the age of ages and need treatment for age-related nearsightedness, but this proved the point in an over-the-top microfiche.) Also, my bubble counter chamber has a small chip on the outside that will hopefully remain cosmetic. in the nature. I also noticed that the power cord connection of the solenoids on this unit barely touches the standard 20lb CO2 tank, preventing true 0 and 180 degree up and down installation. More like 5 and 185 but works. Finally, despite claims to the contrary from the manufacturer, I find that the solenoid runs quite warm compared to what I'm used to, and I'm not used to the solenoid closing and not immediately relieving pressure. This should bleed a little for 2 or 3 minutes, which is definitely annoying when you're not expecting it. This is typically a four-star rating until normal continued use. I think I can expect 3+ years of service from something like this but will watch closely (which any C02 user should probably do). My review gets additional credit for the broken bubble counter.
