Recently purchased AirPods Max, and to listen with a line from headphones to a computer, iPod, etc. (something with a 3.5mm audio jack instead of Bluetooth) requires a special Lightning to 3.5mm jack cable. Apple sells one for $35. It was way cheaper and looked more durable so I ordered it. It works with my old school iPod, my Windows laptop, but not with AirPods Max. Could it be that the Max USB-C port isn't working? May be. But I won't know until I get the $35 Apple cable I ordered. My guess is that this JSAUX cable isn't specifically designed to convert a standard 3.5mm audio output line to a Lightning connector. I believe Lightning is meant for audio output, not input, which is why Apple designed a dedicated cable. Otherwise, this cable is great for other purposes. . . like plugging my iPhone into the AUX input on my desktop speaker. I just took off a few stars because "Apple Mfi Certified" meant it would work with Apple AirPods Max. This is probably my fault, but I think it says ["Not for AIrPods Max"] in the description. It would be helpful.
