I've tried other toasters and they usually come back for one reason or another but this keeper does. I love it. At first I had problems with the toast because the handle was not clean at what temperature. put on toast. I didn't think you had to set the temperature. I mean why right? but my husband said the temperature of the toast should be maxed out and it worked. The brochure doesn't give me much information. Kind of trial and error to figure it out. But I think I get it now! In years past they had a coat hook attached to the door, remember? I mean a couple of toasters and it was perfect. Since then I can't find it anymore. I don't know why they dropped it because when you open the door the counter pops out immediately and you can get your toast without putting your hand inside. I would like to see this feature again. I hope the makers of this toaster will read and add to this. Then it would be perfect.
