Review on Samsung LC27RG50FQNXZA 27-Inch Curved Monitor with 1920x1080P Resolution and 240Hz Refresh Rate by Chris Herrera

Extremely fragile and severe image discoloration in less than a year of use.

I strongly DO NOT recommend this monitor if you intend to use it for more than a few months. Which is what I wanted to do in my case. Almost immediately after the warranty expired, I started having very strange problems with the screen. The "features" that come with it don't outweigh the sheer number of problems this monitor has. First, a large black dot started growing in the middle of my screen when the picture was dark. It was imperceptible at first, but soon became completely unavoidable. This happened after a few months of use and is due to poor design due to the curved monitor. Second, burning the image. I used to play Overwatch quite a bit, but I never played all day. I honestly don't think I've played enough to deserve the word "OVERWATCH" being printed on screen because of screen burn-in. The problem is, even if I didn't have these issues, I wouldn't recommend this monitor. The screen is FRAGILE. The curvature means that problems like the ones above are much easier to create, and easier to damage if you accidentally hit them. So what are the real advantages of a curved monitor? Enlarged image? That's bullshit and you can just buy a 4K monitor to do MUCH more or use other traditional competitors. Speaking of the competition, G-SYNC. Many of you may think that G-SYNC is a brand new technology that allows your PC to have higher FPS and better quality. In fact, G-SYNC just means that when you plug it in, you don't have to go into the NVIDIA Control Panel and bump up the refresh rate. Is it really worth a dollar more?
