Quality Control?: Ignition Coils

needed a stator for my scooter and this matched the original which didn't charge, noticed it looked used and was 2 poles darker than the rest, fitted it anyway and it didn't have headlights ! It has shown to charge, will be sending it back hoping for a replacement that works properly.
