Half of these didn't work so I'm glad there were 8 and I only needed 6 so I only had to buy 2 from the local store to get the job done. The half that didn't work, I tried 3 sets of batteries to make sure it wasn't batteries, to my horror it wasn't batteries, it just wouldn't turn on at all. The mounting tape didn't work very well so I removed it from everyone and stuck my 3m tape on it. The ones that worked did, worked. But during the placement process you have to be very specific about where the two pieces line up. Older windows can have trouble aligning them the same way all the time, so I'll reinstall them all with velcro in case I need to move them a bit to align them. I will never buy them again. as half didn't work and would like to spend a little more money next time to offer a better product.
