A digital artist's dream!

I wanted to go back to illustration and this and a surface pen was the cheapest option for drawing directly on the screen. I've been using Apple products since 2009 and also have two Wacom tablets. I'm so impressed with the Surface 3 even though it's an older model. If you want to draw with it, you need a pen. You cannot use your finger in Photoshop. I also downloaded an Asian drawing app and it recognizes pressure very well. Drawing on glass takes a little getting used to, but at least I can see what I'm drawing clearly compared to a matte screen like the Cintiqs. It's also great for surfing the web and watching videos! I don't even notice that the RAM is only 2GB. The sound is also pleasant. I only turned the volume up to 25% to watch a movie at night. So I'm spending less than $450 on a Surface 3 and a stylus compared to $1,000 for a Wacom Companion or $500 for a smaller iPad Pro without an Apple Pencil. Anyway, if you're an experienced artist, you don't need fancy branding tools to create great illustrations. What counts is the work done.
