A well-made shoe that I'm sure will last through one winter on the playground spring will look good! The colors go well with jeans and most tops - not mean! My 6 year old granddaughter loves them. Update: Just bought our second pair. When asked about school shoes for this winter my 7 year old granddaughter said she wanted another pair like last year. So I bought her another pair for the same amount I would pay for sketchers in a department store. They are perfect for the playground: your feet stay dry, they are comfortable and the color matches most of their play/school attire. but not too uncomfortable. And best of all, at the end of the year the 1st pair still looked very nice, hardly worn! These are shoes for rough and uneven playgrounds! Order about 1/2 size larger than usual as they tend to run a little smaller compared to other shoes. Update 2019. The 2nd pair lasted all winter last year as expected and looked just as good in spring as in autumn. . So we ordered pair #3. I was a bit disappointed that the predominantly dark blue color is no longer available. What's called Navy/Turq is now navy blue with eggplant purple mesh and a bit of turquoise, so it's a more obnoxious color combo that doesn't work with more colors.
