A great, cute and nostalgic way to store/charge your Apple Watch with the night mode display on. Elago is a brand I trust so I wasn't surprised that they are well made and work as advertised. Getting the USB-A connector through the W3 hole was a little tricky (I had to bend the back of the Mac a bit), but the USB-C connector fits through just fine. Some reviews claim that charging is intermittent. Aside from those reviewers who use dodgy 3rd party chargers, there is a slight quirk I noticed when using Apple's OEM chargers (a plastic charger that came with my Series 6 watch, a 1M metal charger , which was purchased from Apple). Chargers very easily sit back in the slot they slip into. The shape of the stand can raise the watch 1 or 2mm (maximum) above the charger. but I also found that the watch lifted the charger just as often to make reliable contact. My decision? I cut two "standoffs" from the box the stand came from. You can use a quarter or a real charger as a guide. In any case, using scissors, an X-Acto knife, or a compass (for maximum accuracy), I cut two circles out of the box and placed them under the charger. (I tried a coin, but it was too thick. Hold the paper box.) ONE wasn't enough, THREE was too many. Two were just right; Goldilocks will be happy. When two of these spacers are inserted behind the charger, the charger fits snugly against the "edge" of the charging slot on the stand. The watch immediately provides a strong magnetic contact and charges flawlessly. The positive pin places the 40mm Apple Watch in the center of the "screen" and about 2mm off the bottom of the slot. In my impromptu testing, inserting the watch into the slot provided perfect contact 19 times out of 20. I have to press the watch to remove it from the charger. This change is very easy to make and not visible at all. After this change, my 40mm Series 6 watch charges quickly. I've bought the W3 (classic Mac) and W4 (Blueberry iMac) and both allow you to neatly tuck away excess cable from the 1M charging cable on the back. W3 you need to be careful not to wrap too loosely so the bottom will sit flush on a flat surface. W4 has a small hole, so you have to be very careful when twisting the cable in the stand. Or simply roll the cable into the USB charging port once or twice. The night mode on the Apple Watch is excellent, see the Apple Watch User Guide for more information.
