I use it on my dresser as a pseudo high table in my bedroom (for a fraction of the cost) and it's amazing! The adjustable feet go both up and down, and also tilt forward and back, so I can set them to the perfect height and angle for comfortable typing. The added benefit of this is that when the tray lifts the laptop off the dresser I can store things under the tray on top of the dresser in the space my laptop used to be. The included fan is powerful enough to cool any modern laptop, yet quiet enough that I can't even hear it above my laptop's normal hum. Between the extra fan airflow and the extra circulation caused by lifting the laptop off the surface of things, it stays nice and cool. It simply connects to your laptop via USB to power it. It's perfectly firm and stable on hard flat surfaces, but a little more wobbly than I'd like on my orthopedic top mattress when using it as a knee pad, but it can still be used for that and it doesn't negatively impact usability. The overall build quality is definitely above average for the price as there are much more expensive lap trays that are inferior in design.
