Here's what I would recommend if you're having the same problem.

Never done anything with LED lighting or wired lighting. When I started using them I was so disappointed. The wires in the terminals were so tight that the LED strip "bent" and "knocked" when I tried to slide the strip underneath. I watched several videos on Youtube. Here's what I would recommend if you're having the same problem. 1) Remove enough adhesive backing from the LED strip so that the detachment matches the space you need to plug it into the jumper. In other words, pull it off just enough to fit inside the sweater. 2) swing. Move that bastard. Slowly rock it left and right, eventually it will slip under the wires. Continue wiggling until the pins are under the wires, then snap the connector into place. 3) Leave everything on. You won't get hurt. You can grab the exposed positive and negative end of the connected strip and will not be electrocuted. This is important because you do NOT want to keep opening and closing the connector while trying to reconnect. This creates small gaps in the leads of the LED strip, making them increasingly difficult to wire. If possible, insert the LED strip into the socket (if connected), wiggle it until it snaps into place, then snap it into place. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • EASY TO CONNECT to the cut section of the LED strip. Simply pop the latch, make sure the strip is properly aligned with the connector, and slide it under the contact pins.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
