Bought to caramelize sugar on crème brûlée. For my first serving of my second batch of crème brûlée, that's 5 FIVE small servings, 6 oz. The gas valve stopped closing, speaking of a safety hazard. After closing the valve nothing came out. And after the flames were extinguished, the gas could still be heard escaping. In short, do not buy this item. I just got a Rösle flashlight to replace it and WHAT a difference it makes. The valve is much better, the construction is metal so the whole feel and weight is different, and most importantly the gas valve works.
