These are standard size pencils but not standard quality. You are definitely drawing with quality pens. They sharpen well and run quietly. I'm new to drawing so I bought different brands of pencils to see if there was a difference. There is. Usually you get what you pay for. If it's really cheap, it probably will. These are good pencils.
