Working host for the modification

First of all I want to say that this is a review of the flashlight modder. Second, why can't people read and use common sense! Without being stingy, it is unrealistic to expect batteries in a flashlight and the type of battery required is clearly stated in the description. Now for the review. I have already bought four of these lamps. They are made in the style of C8 but have some significant differences. They have glass lenses, I didn't notice an anti-reflective coating, but the glass is of good quality. The reflector is a nice smooth coating on the plastic. None of my lights had a defect. The outer coating is black and uniform, and the light comes with a typical strap. Good quality GK LED and one of the best I've seen from this manufacturer. Good pure white color on XM crystal. I left one of the headlights with the stock LED because I really like the tint. I replaced the rest with Nachi 219c, Samsung 351D and ordered a Cree XP HI V2 from Mountain. The lanyard loop is wide enough to slip down the barrel but small enough to stay in place once the butt cap is secured. This allows you to move the strap from the butt cap to the barrel to ensure the perfect position of the tail. Only perform these modifications if you have experience and training. For smaller mods you can bypass the resistors to double the power. I also recommend a storage capacitor pencil mod to get rid of that pesky next mode on power up. PWM was measured at a frequency of 132 Hz in medium mode. Output after these mods is around 500 lumens at 2 amps, and the LED works best at 2 amps or less. Now the bad news. The 17mm diameter driver is pressed into an aluminum panel and requires machining. This is required to update the driver. The driver is simple in design and not adjustable. The tablet doesn't have much depth either so I ordered 17FET with guppydrv R2 for my thrower mod. For the assembly. The tablet is screwed into the reflector housing and then the battery housing can be screwed in. Not a perfect host, but under $7 each is a good compromise. The end cap is of good quality, I only tested up to 3A. The seals are made of silicone and seal well. I'd like the reflector to be aluminum, but I don't think I'll melt it if I keep it under 4A. Thanks to Jardlite for the good light available.
