Review on πŸ”” Black Rear-Mount Bell Bracer 500 Kickstand by Maria Skim

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good, but also very bad on the one hand.

Actually works on a 16" Kent Maroon and White folding bike. If you have the 16" folding bike described you will know. But it can on any other folding bike may or may not work with 16" wheels. The bad news is that the footpeg spring is so strong that when you kick it up or down, the footpeg will move a little where it attaches to the bike frame "Quick wipe the paint off the bike frame. Bell really needs to fix this because I'm pretty sure a much weaker spring would work just as well. And a weaker spring would probably cost them less to make. I like this one Kickstand really and solved the spring problem by moving the kickstand with my hand instead of my foot.On a bike they snag I do not very or collide with each other. They can bump into weird positions, but I don't mind. They both work, but take turns when I need to step back on the pedal to quickly lube the chain. Because the pedals have full travel with the bell stand extended, everything works well. I'm very glad I found this stand as it fits my Kent folding bike with 16" wheels perfectly. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it does.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
