They do their job. Yes you can do it yourself but for the price my time was more valuable. I haven't tested them with load cells and didn't expect high winds or tornadoes. All I know is that I bought them to tether at Oshkosh and they worked fine. The ties arrived in a compact set with all the necessary elements. Pulled out when parked and used without difficulty or complications. The aircraft (Muni 201) remained in place. Later I was able to get the anchors out with little effort and pack everything in the bag with little fuss. I used motorcycle zip ties instead of the included ropes because I'm not good with knots. The ropes are of sufficient quality so I'm leaving them in the kit for future reference.
