This is a really great product. It's not cheap plastic, it's not battery operated, and it doesn't require crazy assembly. At the same time, my need for it was NOT for the stated purpose. I have a wall mounted pachinko machine that is 8 inches from the wall and I wanted something like an artificial light that could stick out far enough and throw light down to illuminate it nicely. It was impossible to find anything that would work. It doesn't have an edge (like the top of a laptop screen) to hold on to, but I was able to use strong Velcro to attach the back directly to the front of the game so the light was perfect. We liked the ability to choose the color and brightness of the light to suit our mood and it looks great. I'm pretty sure the Velcro keeps it in place securely, but if it doesn't it's no knock on the quality of the light itself. I had an unexpected problem. After unboxing I grabbed a standard USB charger (one of those 1" white cubes from an old iPhone) and the light didn't work. It blinked for a second, and so on it was. I assumed it was because the light was still cold because it was Mai lbox, or maybe it was broken, or maybe I just didn't understand how to turn the light on, but it turned out that the light requires more power than a standard old-style charger. I replaced the charger with a newer (more powerful) one and the light worked fine after that. This light is a little more expensive but very durable and very well designed. We love it.
