The shelves themselves look nice and the brackets are sturdy. However, the kit includes two types of drywall anchors: EZ screw anchors and expansion anchors. EZ anchors are much larger and this type usually holds more weight. However, after a night of putting up shelves against the wall with a few books to check their weight, I noticed that one of the screws had come loose from the peg. I placed a roughly finger-sized weight on the shelf and pulled the screw right out of the anchor - cheers. The soft plastic threads in the anchors don't even seem to be able to hold <10lbs, the screw has completely stripped the internal threads. Luckily I had some metal EZ anchors that matched the screws perfectly, so I replaced the cheap plastic anchors with these and now the screws are tight. Before I switched to metal dowels, I even replaced the first set with the extra plastic dowels they supplied, they also ripped off immediately - and that was after carefully tightening the screws with a screwdriver rather than a drill. Overall, the shelves and brackets look decent, but save yourself the headache (and drywall) and head to the hardware store to buy the same size EZ metal anchors before mounting these things to the wall.
