I was very skeptical but wanted to try. This is an essential item for detangling damp, coarse hair. My 4C hair detangled very easily and I didn't hear a click of breakage. I started at the top and moved to the root out of habit, but was amazed at how easily and quickly I detangled the strands. I actually repeated sometimes and thought it really didn't pop up because it was too easy, but it slid like clockwork. With this brush I probably took a good 10-15 minutes into my usual post wash detangling process and I didn't feel like I just went into battle. I also used it to comb my hair to detangle the sections for the elastic band method of crocheting the hair. I will be getting this for another family member who is natural and for a loved one who is either natural or becoming natural or on relaxants. DEFINITELY recommend, and no, I'm not being paid or asked to do this.
