I bought this as my first lathe. These machines, regardless of brand, are a bit finicky and need tweaking to work properly. I gave this purchase 5 stars because I had a problem with the lathe that was sent and the seller responded quickly and did their best to take care of me. Thanks very much! If you are new to filming, take the time to clean and set up the machine before you begin, remove the control panel cover and attach a small piece of plastic or protection to the control board to prevent metal shavings from accumulating access the control board. Tighten the wedges and place the machine on the table.
