Do not buy! best video cable

This cable wouldn't detach from the display port on my NVIDIA 1070 graphics card. If you press on the end it should detach, but no pressure will detach it. Instead it ended up breaking and I had to use pliers to pry out the broken piece. Now my video port isn't working so I'm wondering if this has damaged my graphics card.
