I got this kit for quick jobs like sewing on buttons. It comes in a nice little pouch and the thread is good enough for those quick little jobs, particularly if you are traveling and rip a hem or lose a button. I have to confess that I got this kit in particular because of the darling little scissors. They are just as they look in the picture and they work for quick thread snips. (They remind me of an old pair of scissors my mother had, so nostalgia played a large part in my purchase.)I have a sewing nook and lots of sewing supplies, but for some reason, I was missing all my little "snippers" for cutting off threads, and what I really needed were needle threaders. I never needed them before in my life and always ignored them, but now that I'm older, I find I really need them. The needle threaders included in the kit work fine and as an added bonus, they don't prick my fingers. I tried using the cheap metal ones from other kits and the tiny wire used to pull the thread through the needle eye wasn't always anchored properly so it left a tiny bit of metal wire sticking out. Those wires always pricked my fingers, making it painful to use them. The plastic needle threaders in this kit are made well enough that they don't have this problem, so I finally have good needle threaders.I'd say this is a decent set of sewing implements in a case that is easy to bring along on trips for quick repairs. It had everything in it that I needed, at any rate.
